To define the malocclusion and to design the treatment plan, a thorough examination and a diagnosis are needed:

	A thorough examination of the mouth area
	Manufacture of plaster models
	X rays
	Photo documentation
	Examination of the jaw joint

Based on these examinations an individual treatment plan for every patient will be drawn up.
