Differentiation:

• Malaligned teeth
• Incorrect postioning of the jaws
• A combination of the above

Fig.1: Regular occlusion	Fig.2: Klasse 2 - Class 2 dentition with overjet. It is either the upper jaw too far forward or the lower jaw too far back or a combination of both.

Fig.3: Class 2 dentition with coverbite. Usually the lower arch is too far back.	Fig.4 : Class 3 dentition. In two thirds of the cases the upper jaw is too far back, in one third the lower jaw is too far forward.
