Prevention and Hygiene

Good oral hygiene is a requirement for orthodontic treatment. Training in oral hygiene is offered in the office.

During orthodontic treatment a healthy nutrition and a good oral hygiene are of great importance to prevent decay and decalcifications.

Recommendations

	Special tooth brushes for patients with brackets are available
	These brushes are available for electric tooth brushes as well
	additional methods:
		Interdental brush
		dental floss (unwaxed)
